AD – Gifted Stay
Although I’ve been to lots of great events and photoshoots at Mar Hall Golf & Spa Resort in Bishopton over the years, I’d never actually stayed overnight before.
Arriving at the gorgeous five-star resort, I couldn’t wait to get checked in and start relaxing in luxury.
ROOM WITH A VIEW
Victoria and I were staying in room 1, complete with an amazing views and the most spectacular bathroom that I could honestly have lived in!
Everything is so luxurious and stylish, all with the classic feel Mar Hall is known for.
The staff were so helpful, making us feel so welcome and ready for a chilled stay.
Plus, the Mar Hall team had even kindly left us a bottle of prosecco: the way to our hearts!
MAR HALL DECLEOR SPA
Before Christmas, Vic and I had been at a Decleor Spa event at Mar Hall so we were super excited to try out the spa!
The spa team recommended the treatment they thought I’d love most; a combo of back, neck and shoulders massage followed by a 25 minute facial – bliss!
My lovely therapist used Decleor’s Ylang Ylang range for my facial as I’d been experiencing a little bit of redness and my skin felt seriously amazing after.
Although it wasn’t ready at our visit, you can also book into the brand new Mar Garden Spa which I will definitely book in to go back to try.
DINING IN STYLE
Every aspect of Mar Hall’s fine dining experience is spectacular, from the elaborate ceiling and chandeliers to the delicious dishes.
For dinner, I opted for haggis, neeps and tatties, followed by the perfectly cooked steak. We enjoyed prosecco and passion fruit cocktails, all served by the friendly staff – an ideal Tuesday evening!
Breakfast has plenty of options too, as well as a menu to choose from – definitely needed after that last glass of prosecco the evening before!
GETTING READY GOALS
With Mar Hall a popular wedding venue, I was so impressed with the spacious room and bathroom, which I’m sure wedding guests would love to get ready in!
We had a relaxed morning before our Noon check out, plenty of time to get ready, pack and take in the views one last time.

Before heading home, we couldn’t resist a little more time in Mar Hall’s spectacular rooms, full of character and traditional charm.
The 240 acres of woodland surrounding the mansion make you feel a million miles away from Glasgow, a tranquil and idyllic getaway.
