One thing I get asked a lot on my Instagram is for work wear outfit ideas.
Although I work for myself now, for years I was office based and really found a style that worked for me.
Being meeting-ready does not mean suit smart (well, for my industry anyway!), but I do think there’s ways to look ‘put together’ without being dressed like you’re going to a 1980’s board meeting.
Autumn and winter are probably my fave workwear seasons to dress for, so here’s some smart/casual outfits perfect for the next few months.

1 | HOW TO STYLE LEATHER TROUSERS FOR WORK
It might seem a bit ‘out there’ to some, but honestly faux leather trousers are one of my work wear staples.
Just throw on a smart blazer, heeled shoe boots and a crisp white tee and you’re good to go!
2 | HOW TO STYLE A JUMPER DRESS FOR WORK
Okay so I’m not really a tights kinda gal – I have been known to still embrace bare legs in December, but each to their own!
To wear a jumper dress, again I think heeled shoe boots dress it up and a long coat looks chic and is still practical for the commute.
If you really feel you need extra warmth, go for tights with some texture like this cute polka dot style.
3 | HOW TO STYLE A PLEATED SKIRT FOR THE OFFICE
Seriously, if you don’t have a pleated midi skirt, go get one.
They’re super versatile (casual it up with trainers or studded flat boots) and it looks perfect to go from office to meetings to after work drinks.
Wear with a slightly cropped jumper for a cosy, chic look.
