As someone who likes parties and also likes spas, I was pretty excited when I heard about the Blythswood Square SPArty.
Sipping champagne in a luxury spa feels like my natural habitat (or it should be anyway). If there was such a thing as a professional spa-goer, I would be a ready and willing candidate.
BLYTHSWOOD SQUARE
Blythswood Square’s spa is one of those places everyone talks about when looking to book a spa day in Scotland. It was named as one of the top 25 spa venues in the UK and its easy to see why, it really just is the epitome of luxury relaxation.
With so much love for the spa already, it was the perfect time to launch the new SPArty package, an indulgent evening for you and your friends to relax and enjoy the Thermal Experience and pamper yourself with treatments from their luxury spa brands, which include Elemis, ILA (who you might remember from here) and ishga (more of that later).
We (and when I say we, I mean me and Victoria – unfortunately our third amigo Yasmin was away on a work trip) arrived on the most dreary of Mondays, completely ready for an evening at the official launch of the #SPArty. Heading down to the basement level and into the spa lounge and cafe, we were greeted by Leon Trayling, the Spa Director. Glass of bubbles in hand, the washed out Monday was quickly forgotten.
#SPArty TIME
As the lounge got busier with lots of other Scottish bloggers, it was time for the SPArty to begin – not bad for 9pm on a normally dull Monday night! Although we were here for the launch, this is what you will be able to expect from your own SPArty too; from £40 per person – and a minimum group of 20 – you will receive a glass of prosecco on arrival and exclusive use of the spa from 9pm onwards.
A quick change into a bikini in the luxury changing rooms and it was time for some serious relaxation, starting with a dip in the hydrotherapy pool. With music playing and plenty of poolside loungers, it’s a perfect location if you’re looking for something a bit different to celebrate a special occasion, like a big birthday or (classy) hen.
Feeling suitably chilled, we went back to the lounge, where you can also purchase your own little bit of spa haven to take home in the form of their spa products. The team kindly let us each pick a product to try; I chose the ishga Hebridean Sea Salt Scrub and it was perfect timing as I was on the look out for an amazing salt scrub – I can’t wait to use it!
After a quick stop by the Salon Bar (which you’ll know I already adore if you’ve read my Guilty Pleasures menu review) for some more prosecco and popcorn, it was time to head back to reality. Until next time, Blythswood!
