GUILTY PLEASURES MENU AT BLYTHSWOOD SQUARE HOTEL GLASGOW

Blythswood Square Hotel is one of those instantly recognisable Glasgow locations that you never want to leave.

The marble floors, sweeping staircase and the famous cascading chandelier all set the scene as one of our city’s leading glamorous venues. I’ve been lucky enough to attend some of my most favourite events in the hotel, from Debenhams’ press days to one of my very first shoots, it’s always a place I look forward to going to. When the invite came to try their new addition, of course I said yes!

GUILTY PLEASURES

Located on the first floor, Blythswood’s Salon Bar has a more laid back feel that the ground floor restaurant, still with the lavish interior and sumptuous Harris Tweed the hotel is known for.

Loved for the luxury feel, it makes sense then that Blythswood have launched a new indulgent experience for two; Blythswood Square Guilty Pleasures. Available Sunday to Friday from 12pm until 10pm, this addition is perfect for a mid-shopping catch up or, how I decided to dine, an after work date night to bring in the weekend a little earlier. Costing £40 for two, you will enjoy some light bites and a bottle of champagne – cheers to that!

Although at first look the portions may seem small, we both agreed they are just the right amount to enjoy with your champers. You will be treated to jenga chips with truffle mayo, sesame glazed sausages with BBQ sauce and panko crusted confit pork fritters with pickle and grain mustard mayo. And yes, it all tasted as good as it sounds!

ALL IN THE EXPERIENCE

One thing I think Blythswood really shines at is their customer service; each and every member of staff always makes you feel so welcome, something I find so important. It’s a perfect location to relax and enjoy; lovely and quiet, but always with a great atmosphere to enjoy every moment.

As we toasted an amazing evening, I was already messaging my friends to arrange to come back on a girls’ day shopping. Bubbly + yummy food + a dreamy location = a pretty perfect combination, to me.

I went for a spring time date night look of vinyl trousers, gingham and my new mac. I love the pop of colour with my New Look shoes too, they are so comfortable too!
