My mum and I headed to 29 Glasgow back in autumn with some of my fellow bloggers for the official launch of Glasgow wedding and event florist Lorraine Wood Flowers‘ Christmas workshops. The room was decorated to festive perfection with a harpist providing a Christmas soundtrack. I have to admit, I was a little apprehensive about my wreath making abilities. I do think I’m quite a creative person but I know how much work goes into something like this!I needn’t have worried as Lorraine was on hand throughout to help create a festive masterpiece. The 2 hour class started with Lorraine showing us the process and giving us tips and tricks to help. I got off to a slightly shaky start (by putting my branches the wrong way, I knew something wasn’t quite right!), but soon it was coming together. By the end of the class, we were all delighted with our efforts – maybe not quite as amazing as Lorraine’s beautiful Christmas wreaths, but good for a first attempt!
The workshops themselves are being hosted at the Lorraine Wood Flowers studio in Renfrewshire and, as well as ‘how to make a festive wreath’, there is also a class in ‘how to make a table centerpiece’ which would be lovely to do, it just feels so nice to know you’ve made it yourself.
Each two-hour class is £45 with all materials supplied and you will take home your own creation to get your house feeling seriously festive. Refreshments will be available throughout the class and, if both classes are booked, a light lunch will be provided, a really nice way to spend a Saturday in the run up to Christmas. There are limited places still available if you want to get your Christmas creative on so book fast! I’ve popped the details below.

I'd have loved to do this but I fear I may have left it too late to book
