I cannot believe it’s already October! I know it’s such a cliched thing to say, but honestly this year has just went past so quickly.
September has been so busy, but a good busy. For the first weekend of the month, I headed to Chester for a very special 100th birthday! We had such a lovely time celebrating such a milestone (complete with card from the Queen). I absolutely love being in Chester, it’s where my boyfriend’s stepdad’s family live. I’m hoping we can visit again before Christmas because it is such a pretty place. I wore my River Island culottes jumpsuit and Dorothy Perkins sale blazer for this post for the special occasion.
The start of September also marked my sister’s 23rd birthday which involved plenty of cocktails during our dinner at The Anchor Line. We also accidentally co-ordinated our outfit looks so we got some quick pictures before we headed out. Her snakeprint playsuit is from New Look and looks so much more expensive than it’s high street price tag and my faux leather skirt is also from the New Look sale.
It’s been so nice to have time with family. I have lots of cousins who also have children so it’s always great to all come together. As well as seeing nearly everyone at one of my cousin’s 10th birthdays, some of us also headed to Center Parcs Whinfell Forest at September weekend. I still have post-holiday blues from the mini break as it was just so much fun! For anyone looking for a nice weekend away, I honestly cannot recommend it enough – especially if you have younger children with you too. While we were away, it was my 4th anniversary with Brian so we spent it doing what we do best – pushing each other down the water slides and enjoying some drinks!
After such a hectic month, I was really needing the final Thursday night’s event at Blythswood Square Hotel with Ila Spa and The East Indian Company. We found out all about the amazing Chakra teas The East Indian Company offer for your mind, body and soul. It was so interesting to hear all about Ila Spa and their completely organic luxury skincare. We even did an amazing meditation session which worked through each of the seven centres of spiritual power in the human body, known as chakras. We were so relaxed, we could have fallen asleep!
