I headed to Intu Braehead a little earlier to pick up my last pieces for Center Parcs (more on that later) so I was actually on time for an event for a change! The catwalk looked amazing, with scattered autumnal leaves setting the scene. The always gorgeous Jean Johannson presented the show and we all enjoyed seeing the newest trends, some of which were yet to hit the shops – a night of serious wardrobe inspiration. Some of my favourite looks were actually from M&S, which is not somewhere I typically shop. I loved the floral skirt and burnt orange blouse combo, classic but still trend led. I’ve decided this season I’m going to try more things style-wise and get out my comfort zone, I can sometimes be guilty of repeat buying similar items. I’m currently on the hunt for a new coat to add to my collection (I’m an absolute coat fiend) so I got lots of ideas during the catwalk and browsing the shops pre-show.

With the fashion show finished, I headed over to see the lovely girls at Benefit Cosmetics who were on hand to give my brows a little autumnal makeover with their new range of brow products. I thought I would share the short steps they took to get my brows looking their best. I love Benefit’s quirky packaging and their fun take on beauty including their Brow Shape Finder which finds the perfect shade for you (I was shade 4, a nice dark brown perfect for brunette ladies).
First up, we used the Goof Proof Brow Pencil (£18.50) to define my shape. The slanted edge of the pencil makes it easy to fill in your brow, keeping it looking natural.
To add more drama, we used ka-BROW! eyebrow cream-gel colour (£18.50) which comes with the cute brush in the lid, such a sweet extra touch which would be perfect in your make up bag.
To finish the brow itself, it was all about the 3D BROWtones eyebrow enhancer which adds dimension. One thing I do feel my brows lack sometimes is texture after using product so this brush on product gives much more depth.
Finally, it was down to good old Erase Paste (£20.50) to tidy up the brows. It’s one thing I never do normally, use a concealer to really make my eyebrows stand out, but I’m going to start as I cannot believe the difference it made!
After enjoying some YoSushi! sushi and a good catch up with some other Scottish bloggers, it was home time – to pack and also to enjoy the cute little autumn goodie bag Braehead had put together. In amongst the treats was a £25 gift card for River Island so I’m sure I’ll share what I pick up in an outfit post soon!
Thanks to Intu Braehead for a fun night – now let’s get shopping!
