I love this time of year, the summer sales are winding down and new season autumn pieces fill the shops, ready for the changing season.
I pretty much live for summer coming, but as we don’t really get one, I try to buy pieces which will see me through to the autumn months. My wardrobe staples are pretty much basic t’s, blazers and ripped jeans – with a wearable heel and optional hat (usually when I’m having a bad hair day or need a little drama to my outfit). I picked up this burnt orange one in the Dorothy Perkins sale along with the blazer jacket which feels so much more luxury than it’s price tag.
One of the main trends you will see everywhere is fun applique and pins adoring everything from denim to crisp white shirts. When I saw this beaut black quilted bag with the cute little pins in New Look, I actually squeaked a little bit with excitement. For under £20 (okay, by 1p), it is such an amazing piece for the new season. I’ve not worn it out yet apart from this day that the pictures were taken, but know it will be one of my most used bags when I get back from holiday, ready for the season ahead. When the temperature cools a little more, I’ll swap my lace ups for a pointed heeled boot and maybe swap the tshirt for a thin knit.
What do you think of the look? Will you be wearing some pins on your clothing for Autumn/Winter? Comment or Tweet me @rachellawler_.

Hats a saviour for the crazy Glasgow weather right, love this burnt orange one. That bag is pretty cool, might get my hands on one since I won't have a quilted Chanel anytime soon
