If you follow me, you will know I am an avid fan of Glasgow as my go-to shopping destination. I feel so lucky to have so many luxury and high street stores so close to home (my bank balance does not feel as lucky, admittedly).
When I got the email to announce the arrival of the Glasgow Style Mile Shopping Festival I was so excited; a festival of shopping? Sounds like my dream come true. Running from 25th to 30th May, this will be the first ever shopping festival in Glasgow. So, what can you expect from this style celebration? There will be everything from styling sessions and trend tips to make-up masterclasses and brand new product demonstrations. Plus, to make sure we all have a lovely stylish few days, lots of retailers and restaurants are offering special discounts and promos throughout (to me this means guilt-free shopping, no?).
The hub of all this glorious shopping fun will be situated at the bottom of Buchanan Street. This Festival Hub will be split into three distinct areas; fashion, beauty and lifestyle/home with professional stylists, make-up artists and interior designers on hand to offer one-to-one advice. Obviously with so much shopping, you will have earned a well-needed break so you can also enjoy a spot of pampering, from blow dries at the pop-up hair salon to manicures at the Hub’s very own nail bar, completed with some tasty treats from Glasgow’s amazing restaurants.
