Day to Night: Striped Trousers

I think monochrome is something which never goes out of style, but I have to admit that I do like a touch of colour when I’m putting an outfit together.

I loved these striped trousers from Primark as soon as I saw them, they look much more expensive than their £14 price tag and seemed like a nice spring wardrobe addition. Continuing with my day to night outfits, I thought the trousers would be great from office meetings to after work drinks with a few quick swaps.

Oh, can we also take a sec to appreciate these fabulous heels?! Seriously, bravo Primark – on a winning streak right here! They may not be the most practical, but does it matter when they look that good? No, no it does not. So, striped trousers and statement heels on, I added one of my favourite pale pink blazers over a simple white tshirt (also both Primark – this was not intentional to have a head to toe Primark look, but it just works). I also like a roomy bag for work – this leather River Island bag was a welcome addition to my accessory collection a few years ago. I keep all my bags in as good condition as possible as I really think they are an investment piece which can last you for years, designer or high street.
Quick outfit swap for cocktails straight from work? I think this silky khaki bomber jacket gives the trousers a more laid back appeal, while keeping it a little bit glam with the cutest Miss Selfridge feather bag, it’s always my go-to when adding some feminine texture to an outfit.
I loved shooting this look in the sun – it actually felt warm outside for once! It’s been a good few weeks for shoots, but I have to admit that I really would like a photographer to help me with my street style pictures. It’s unfair for my friends and family to take time out and for them to get the exact pics I’m looking for.
