let’s go shopping

City Chic with Emporio Armani

Sometimes as I walk around Glasgow, I can’t help but feel proud to live in this beautiful city, especially on the days where the sun is shining and everyone goes about their business delighted in the absence of the rain!

A day shopping in the sun is when I’m at my happiest so you can imagine my delight on spotting the glossy new CONNECT11NS retail centre shining bright on Ingram Street. Within this glass wonder is the stunning Emporio Armani flagship, standing prominently on the corner in all its stylish glory. Set over two floors, the interior of this architectural wonder leaves you in awe, well of course it would as it was designed by Giorgio Armani and his team of architects in Milan. Think modern and contemporary, with organic lines and playing on the factors of volumes and light. A sweeping spiral staircase transports you from the ground floor of womenswear collections and accessories up to the stylish level of menswear collections. Everything just looks so sleek and chic, with hues of grey and black metal trims against luxurious silk carpets – you step in and never want to leave!
It’s not just the interior that has you in awe of course, the collections are swoon-worthy and simply ooze the high quality chic associated with the Emporio Armani brand. Every piece, from the watches, shoes and sunglasses to each dress, jacket and tailored trouser encompasses trend-led design along with Emporio Armani’s instantly recognizable style.
When Emporio Armani invited me to share my favourite look from the new Glasgow flagship, I was so excited, but also nervous how was I going to find my favourite outfit out of all the beautiful pieces?! As soon as I saw the pale green wide leg glossy flannel trousers however, I knew they were The One. With such a statement piece, I chose to let the trousers steal the show and paired them with a basic black textured sleeveless top (the material was so comfortable to wear, FYI). Continuing with all things chic, I could not resist the beautiful wide brim hat with the colour pop detail in the flowers perfectly pairing up with the dream trousers. The nude bag is the ideal size for a day shopping too, a great accompaniment to the mirrored sunglasses and simplistic gold bangle. It was one of those outfits that, once you had it on, you were ready to strut around as if you were on a catwalk!
I cannot wait for the official store launch at the stunning Emporio Armani flagship this Thursday so make sure you’re following me on Twitter (@rachellawler_), Facebook and Instagram (@tenderlovingstyle) and now Snapchat (@rachellawlerx) to see all the goings-on of the launch party. I would love to hear what you think of my favourite look too, I’m so happy with the way the images have turned out after working with a new photographer, Kris J Cummins, so all of your feedback would be so welcomed.
With thanks to Armani for supporting this post.
