One thing I have really realized since becoming a Scottish fashion blogger is the main obstacle in creating any outfit posts is the awful weather.
It seems every time I plan a fashion post shoot, the rain starts thundering down and literally washes away my good blog intentions. I will be really honest and say it starts making me feel guilty and a bit of a fraud of a blogger; I compare my little blog to all the amazing established ones with thousands of outfit posts and end up feeling like I should be doing so much better. I always planned such big things for the blog, but working full time (along with Scotland’s typical blustery outfit-ruining weather) just got in the way.
I’m hoping this will all change in the New Year, the main reason being that I made the massive/scary/exciting decision to leave as head of Personal Shopping at Debenhams and allow myself to really concentrate on building my blog to where I always wanted it to be. I’m also so lucky that I already have some great projects all lined up, kicking off in January so I feel things are off to a good start. I think sometimes you need to just make that leap as an incentive to work harder to get where you want to be so fingers crossed it all works out. This year has been the hardest of my life so I have kind of reached a point where I think you need to do whatever that makes you happy and it will all end up the way its meant to.
Anyway, back to the outfit part of this post – eventually shot on a day when the winter sun decided to grace us with its presence. I love this little bargain Primark shearling jacket, but I will admit I also have a beautiful shearling biker jacket on my Christmas list that I think would be come a favourite! Ohh and, before I forget, I need to praise the Warehouse Gods for their amazing jeans – by far the best jeans I’ve bought in ages, they have such a nice luxury and stretch to them, denim 10/10 from me!
You look fab as always sweetie. Excited for your projects next year – I've got a feeling 2016 is gonna be a good year! 😉 xx
