let’s go shopping

FIERCE FLATS x FAUX FUR

I sometimes wish I could be one of those people who can get away with wearing amazing high heels every day, but there are a few reasons this just isn’t going to work out for me;
1) I’m quite tall – taller than average so I am at risk of being a bit of a giant
2) All. The. Pains. Call me boring, but I do appreciate a bit of comfort especially when I can be on my feet for 10 hours a day and no amount of Party Feet are going to really help for that amount of time
3) I’m a bit of a busy body, always rushing around from one thing to the next – not to mention I walk so quickly that friends and family say trying to keep up with me is a workout in itself so frankly overly high heels just slow me down
Don’t get me wrong, I still have a massive heels collection and I still never feel as ‘put together’ as I do when I pop a pair of statement heels on. Day to day you will find me wearing a lot of lower heeled ankle boots, but when I saw these Zara flats I knew I had to have them. I think the fierce point gives it a really dressy feel especially with the metal detail around the toe. For £29.99 they are a complete bargain too – always a plus in my book.
I’ll be wearing them loads for autumn before it gets a bit too cold and I need to give in to boots all the time. To compensate for the bare feet, I went for some faux fur – this black and white jacket is from Next last year, but I’ve noticed loads of similar ones this year (yay love when this happens! Always good when things you bought last year are still on trend the next winter). Adding to the autumn vibes, I was totally in love with this Primark tassel jumper as soon as I saw it, I’ve worn it so many times since I picked it up in the Braehead store last week – for bargain bonus point it was also down to £5 when I took it to the till I know amazing! Finishing the little casual chic look, I grabbed my Pretty Little Thing chain bag which is a pretty good dupe of a certain other high street brand (ahem, Zara) who charge 4 times more..It’s out of stock on PLT just now, but I’ve linked a similar one below.
What are you wearing for autumn days and are you able to pull off high heels all day? Leave me a comment or Tweet me @rachellawler_
